Legal services disclosure

This disclosure explains the relationship between Aged Care Workforce Solutions Pty Ltd (the “Platform”) and Kalansuriya Law, so you can make an informed choice about legal representation.

Ownership interest

The principal solicitor of Kalansuriya Law holds an ownership interest in the Platform and benefits financially from placements made through it. Candidate credential verification on the Platform is overseen by that practitioner; individualised visa eligibility assessments are provided only under a separate legal engagement.

Your free choice of lawyer

If a placement proceeds, the visa and nomination work is a separate legal engagement. You are free to engage any Australian legal practitioner or registered migration agent of your choice - you are never required to engage Kalansuriya Law, and your use of the Platform is not affected by that choice.

If you choose Kalansuriya Law

Professional fees for any such engagement are charged on ordinary professional terms, set out in a costs agreement before work begins, and are not contingent on a placement proceeding. Because of the ownership interest described above, Kalansuriya Law will provide this disclosure again at engagement and will ask for your written, informed consent before acting, consistent with the Australian Solicitors' Conduct Rules (including rules 11 and 12). Where a conflict of interest arises that cannot be managed, the firm will decline to act or cease acting and will assist you to find alternative representation.
